Marquette, MI – November 4, 2024 – Early voting in Michigan has now ended and the numbers are strong.
With one day to go before the election, just over 1.2 million votes have been cast early in the state, and just over 1.9 million absentee ballots have been returned as well, with a voter turnout of nearly 44-percent.
Whitmer said the numbers are showing people have a strong interest in this election and changes in state law that have made it easier to vote are showing results.
She stressed that now is the time for those who have not voted early or by absentee ballot to make plans to prepare to cast their votes in person tomorrow at their regular polling places.
