Hi there! I’m Dawn Evans, a proud Negaunee girl. I’m your hostess for your Sunny Workday! I’m a Negaunee graduate and have had my share of experiences living around the Midwest from Negaunee to Marquette, Marquette to Waukesha, Waukesha to Milwaukee, Milwaukee to Negaunee, Negaunee to Duluth, and Duluth to Negaunee (*whew*). I enjoy great concerts and have seen many different artists from all of the genres. So, you may hear me mention where you can find different concerts from musicians who pop up during my show.
I wear many different hats with my ‘Big Girl’ job at Perform4Life and my responsibilities with the Negaunee High School Booster Club. I’m married to a wonderful man, no seriously – I really am – and a Mom to a technology-loving boy who is aspiring to be an Astro-physicist when he gets older. (I’m not sure where that comes from.) As a family, we enjoy going on adventures around the U.P. looking for waterfalls, visiting local touristy attractions, and taking in the scenery. Mark and I enjoy spending time visiting Big 10 football stadiums (I have 4 checked off my list with more in the future), traveling, and watching great summer baseball, especially the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. We also enjoy cooking, Negaunee Miner sports, and tasty beer.
I’m excited to be your Sunny Workday hostess! Listen in for the Lunch Box! Two 90’s songs back to back to start your noon hour every Monday through Friday on Sunny 101.9. If you’d like to make a request, just find me on Facebook – Sunny Workday with Dawn, or call the studio at (906) 227-7777 on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with your music requests. Feel free to contact Dawn below with your comments.
