Marquette, MI – November 8, 2021 – The Marquette City Commission holds their annual post-election organizational meeting tonight to swear in Commissioners and to select a Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem.
Kovacs said two Commissioners will be sworn in tonight. They are current Mayor Jenna Smith and current Mayor Pro Tem Jenn Hill, who were both re-elected in last Tuesday’s election.
She added that after the Oaths of Office are administered, the Commission will vote to select the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem for the year and set the 2021-2022 commission meeting schedule.
The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
