Marquette, MI – April 6, 2026 – The Women’s Center in Marquette is hosting a series of community events this month for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Holma and Frazier explained the events in Marquette and Alger Counties for April are intended to show solidarity for survivors of sexual assault.
The events include the Denim Day Awareness Walk, which is being held on April 17th in Marquette from 4-6 PM. They added that there are multiple Coffee and An Advocate events and the Women’s Center is partnering with the Northern Michigan University Public Relations Student Society of America for the annual Coffee Crawl fundraiser.
