Marquette, MI – October 29, 2019 – If you know me, you probably know that I am a massive NMU Wildcats hockey fan. I was raised going to games, some of my earliest memories are from the Berry Events Center, I have seen the 1991 NCAA Championship game that NMU won more times than I can count.
Being such a fan, naturally, I was excited to attend the third annual Potulny Pasta Party at the Berry this past weekend. It was a great time. Grant Potulny gave a talk about the team this year, the freshmen on the team all had to introduce a teammate in front of the crowd, Rick Comley, NMU’s first ever head coach, talked about his time at the helm of the Wildcats, and the food was delicious.
After the speakers were done, the players gave tours of the locker room and weight training facility. This was probably my favorite part of the evening, and seeing the inner workings of NMU’s flagship athletic program was pretty cool.
