National Drug Take Back Day Is This Saturday

Marquette, MI – April 19, 2023 – You can safely dispose of your expired prescription and OTC medication pills this weekend on National Drug Take Back Day, which is Saturday.

Rich Johnson, a volunteer with the Forsyth Township Police Department and Chair of Marquette County TRIAD, and Lt. Mark Giannunzio, Upper Peninsula Public Information Officer with the Michigan State Police spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Johnson outlined where you will be able to safely drop off expired medications that are no longer necessary to have in the medicine cabinet.

Lt. Giannunzio explained how this program gives people the chance to throw away old prescription drugs in an environmentally safe manner with no questions asked.
