
Marquette, MI – October 18, 2022 – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Marquette and Baraga counties until 8:00 p.m. today. The National Weather Service is calling for heavy, wet snow will continue today, mainly inland from Lake Superior, creating poor travel conditions.
Accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected in the higher terrain a few miles inland from Lake Superior. Near the shoreline, little or no snow accumulation will occur due to a rain and snow mix.
Winds out of the north will be an issue with gusts up to 35 to 45 mph, and as high as around 50 mph along Lake Superior.
