Marquette, MI – August 8, 2022 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting this evening at 6:00 at Marquette City Hall.
Commissioners will be acting on a letter being sent to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel in response to a recent letter by State Representative Sara Cambensy.
Cambensy’s letter questioned several aspects of an agreement to redevelop the vacant former Marquette General Hospital property in the city. The letter being considered by Commissioners this evening will outline the City’s position on the agreement.
Kovacs explained what’s in it, and how Representative Cambensy’s letter could create complications with the redevelopment project moving forward.
