Hancock Woman Sentenced To Jail For Stabbing

Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Copper Country woman involved in a stabbing last summer was sentenced yesterday in Houghton County Circuit Court.

41-year-old Sarah Youmans of Hancock was sentenced to one year in the Houghton County Jail with credit for 171 days already served.

She also must pay restitution of up to one thousand dollars.

Youmans plead no contest to one count of Attempted Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in connection with the stabbing of a 57-year-old man in Hancock last August.
