My Senior year in High School I had a very dear friend named Brenda Bugel – (now married as Brenda Carlson.) Neither one of us had a date for our Homecoming Formal that year – and as a member of the football team I was required to “find a nice girl and get all Gussied Up.”

Brenda wanted to go – I HAD to go so it seemed like a perfect fit.Today is Brenda’s Birthday. So I sent her a note that said “Happy Birthday Homecoming Date!”
In return, I received this little treasure – proving I actually AM the dork I though I was. A fun little memory and a TOTAL unexpected surprise!
I can’t believe what people hold on to for 35 years!!
(What’s even sadder is that I think I still have that tie)
