Marquette, Mi.– February 22, 2018
By today’s standards I guess you could say I grew up recklessly and lived to tell the story! I rode in the back of my Dad’s pickup and let the wind blow my hair…. and caught bugs in my teeth.
The only time I wore a helmet was ….never.
I pedaled my way from one town to another… with no hands… on a ten speed bike…. And my eyes were closed because it was dark anyway!!!
Good times.
My best time on a snowmobile was on a flying saucer tied to a sled driven by a neighbor kid who did not know the definition of danger. That snowmobile would be considered a classic vintage sled now!
If you’d like to relive some of your most exciting snowmobile memories, plan to attend the Antique and Vintage Sled Show this Friday and Saturday five miles south of Marquette at the Crossroads!
Larry Lawrence VP of the Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Club will join me in the four o’clock hour today on the Workday Wind Down to give us the scoop!
My friend and colleague Nancy will join me after five to talk about chickens. If she brings pictures of her chickens driving snowmobiles I will post them at a later date.
In the meantime enjoy the best music you’re going to hear all day on the Workday Wind Down with your host Kris Kyro from 3-7 every Monday through Friday on WKQS SunnyFM.
