Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University President Fritz Erickson issued a statement late yesterday afternoon concerning the recent Trump administration travel ban executive order. Erickson said the barring of citizens from seven nations from travel to the U.S. has resulted in many unanswered questions for the university. He said NMU has been assessing which students, faculty and staff could be impacted and what they may need in support. He added that the university is concerned and ready to protect and assist all community members. Erickson said the Dean of Students Office is reaching out to impacted students and Human Resources will serve as the starting point for faculty and staff questions.
