Iron River, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Chief of Police in Iron River has been fired.
Reports today that Iron River City Manager David Thayer terminated the contract of Chief Laura Frizzo on Friday.
Clashes over management styles between Frizzo and Thayer resulted in “irreconcilable differences” being cited as the reason for the dismissal.
The city is intending to start a search for a new Police Chief as soon as possible, and no interim Chief has been named at this time.
In accordance with the City’s charter, Thayer is serving as the Police Chief.
