Q1: Marquette would begin the game winning the tip but would miss their first shot attempt. The Miners get called for a travel off the in bounds. Marquette would steal the ball but would miss the easy shot in transition. Negaunee would draw blood first with a quick 3 on offense. Marquette gets on the board after a quick spin move in the post goes in. The Miners would get a chance to convert an and-1 and would make the free throw. Marquette would get called with a moving screen to give Negaunee the ball back and the Miners would take advantage and get a quick score. Marquette gets down the court fast and gets fouled on the shot attempt, would go 1 for 2 from the line. Marquette would miss the shot but would get second chance points off the rebound. Negaunee would jump on the ball for a jump ball and the Miners would keep the ball. Marquette would get called for a double dribble. Marquette then would steal the ball right back and get an and-1 but would miss the free throw. Negaunee would drive to lane and would get fouled on the shot, would go 1 for 2 from the line. The Miners would get another steal and would make the jumper in transition. Marquette would get a defensive foul for going through the screen and the Miners would score off the in bounds play. Marquette would get fouled on the shot and would make both free throws. The Miners and Marquette would trade travel calls. The Miners would bring the ball up and would get fouled on the drive. The Miners keep the pressure on Marquette with a quick cut to the basket and another quick score for Negaunee. Marquette would miss the first attempt but would get the rebound for second chance points and an and-1 but would miss the free throw. The Miners would score off a quick pick and roll and would go back up double digits on Marquette. Marquette would call another timeout to stop the Miners momentum but would not work as the Miners would drain a 3 out of the timeout break. Negaunee would get called for an illegal screen. Marquette cannot buy a shot a in the fourth. Negaunee would score off another and-1 and would make the free throw. Marquette would get called for a technical foul at half court and Negaunee would make both free throws as the Miners continue to runaway with the game.
