Marquette, MI – (04/24/20) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer has extended the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order through May 15th. The new order requires people to wear homemade face coverings when they enter enclosed public spaces.
It also allows landscapers, lawn-service companies, and nurseries to return to work, subject to social distancing. Retailers to that do not sell necessary supplies may also reopen for curbside pick-up and for delivery, and big box stores can reopen “closed areas,” like garden centers.
Bike repair and maintenance can also come back online. It also allows for motorized boating and golf, but no golf carts, consistent with social distancing.
Individuals are also allowed to travel between their residences again, though such travel during the epidemic is strongly discouraged.
