MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Gas prices in Michigan keep creeping higher this week and now there is word of what is to blame.
Gasbuddy.com analysts say a glitch at the largest refinery in the Great Lakes region is likely causing the prices to go up when wholesale and oil prices have been relatively stable. The refinery is a BP facility in Indiana.
Gasbuddy.com has the average price in Michigan at three-dollars-62-cents a gallon, up nearly 12-cents from a week ago and up the same amount from the national average.
