Marquette, Michigan – June 5, 2019 – Well, I had my long-awaited oral surgery last week on Thursday. I had to travel to Chicago to have it done, as I was told it is not as common a procedure. Read all about it here.
I have a mouthful of stitches on the top and bottom on my gums, along with some silly-putty type stuff holding the stitches on the bottom together and a plastic appliance on the top teeth and roof of my mouth holding all of that together.
I’ve got to tell you – I am in so much pain. It was anticipated, and I have been prescribed some medications for the time being, but boy is this bad. I consider myself to have a relatively high tolerance for pain, so the fact that I’m hurting this bad should say something.
I also pushed myself a bit too hard Monday. One of my stitches came loose, and I had to get it re-stitched. This made me quite nauseous and fatigued, so I was unable to make it in to work yesterday like originally planned.
Well, at any rate, I am on the mend and will continue to go in the right direction with my healing!
