Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – Michigan has launched a new campaign called Going PRO to help employers in the U.P. and across the state fill more over 811,000 jobs in multiple fields.
The jobs are available in information technology and computer science, healthcare, manufacturing, and other business and professional trades fields, and military veterans represent a good solution to that problem.
Randy Leffel, an employment analyst with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency joined the Sunny Morning Show today to talk more about hiring military veterans for these high-paying and highly rewarding careers.
Leffel talked about how Michigan has been highly successful at matching qualified military veterans with employers and what skills veterans bring to the table that make them valuable assets in any industry.
He also talked about some of the high-demand careers where veterans are finding success and how can employers do a better job of attracting and retaining veterans.
