Anna Howes, Dr. of Physical Therapy at Active’s Marquette location, spoke about it with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Howes said during this Women’s Health Month, it is a good time to discuss and share pelvic health information for women.

She explained pelvic floor physical therapy for women is a specialized area of PT that can help address issues such as pelvic pain, groin pain and urinary incontinence issues and more.

Howes said that she wanted women dealing with such issues to know that they are not alone and that there are a wide variety of treatment options available to consider.

She outlined some common conditions that flare up in the pelvic region for men and what symptoms to watch for.

Howes wrapped up with an overview of how specialized physical therapy techniques have been developed to help women’s pelvic health.
