Marquette, MI – April 10, 2026 – The 3rd annual Fred Waara Chapter of Trout Unlimited U.P. Fly Fishing Film Festival is this weekend in Marquette.
Chapter Board Member Jason Nicholas spoke about the event with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Nicholas said the Festival is the chapter’s primary fundraiser for the year and features films from regional filmmakers from the upper Midwest. It is on Saturday, April 11th from 4:30 to 9:00 pm at the Northern Center on the NMU campus in the ballrooms.
Nicholas explained that it starts with a “Cabin Fever Happy Hour” from 4:30 to 6:00, while the films, raffles, and recognition will run from 6:00 to 9:00. He added the group also has an After Party at Blackrocks Brewery on 3rd Street in Marquette.
Advance tickets for the Festival are available through the NMU Ticketing website. They will also be available at the door.
