Marquette, MI – February 9, 2026 – On our latest update with Upper Peninsula Health Plan, we learned more about one of the care providers in the Pediatric Network in the Upper Peninsula.
Dr. Jared Meyette with Upper Great Lakes Family Health spoke with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Meyette shared some of his background and training and also talked about unique challenges for pediatric care the Upper Peninsula. He also discussed why pediatrics matters more here in the U.P. as well as the unique role of pediatricians in community health here in the region.
Meyette reminded listeners that healthy kids become healthy adults and the health of the U.P.’s children directly shapes the future, adding that insuring access to high-quality pediatric care isn’t just a medical issue; it’s a community priority.
