Marquette, MI – May 14, 2025 – Camp UPeninsulin, Upper Michigan’s only camp for Type I diabetic kids, is coming up in August.
Plourde said the camp, coming August 5th though the 9th at the Clear Lake Education Center near Manistique, gives kids across the U.P. with Type I diabetes a change to meet other kids with Type I.
Parks explained that kids getting the chance to meet other kids with the same condition is important because a lot of these kids feel alone and are often one of the only diabetics in their town or area.
