Marquette, MI – December 24, 2024 – On our latest Active Physical Therapy update, we heard more about TMJ, or Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction.

Sydnie Wedig, Physical Therapist at the Active Ishpeming location, spoke about the condition with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Wedig explained it is a group of several conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and muscles that control jaw movement, and she shared what some of the symptoms are to watch out for.

She also outlined some of the main causes are for TMJ and what options are available for treatment.

Wedig listed some of the common treatments that are used after someone is diagnosed with TMJ.
