Marquette, MI – March 8, 2024 – Our latest monthly update from Upper Peninsula Health Plan takes a closer look at kidney health and kidney disease.
Jonas Hamren, UPHP Clinical Coordinator, spoke about the disease with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Hamren talked about how common it is, with 1 in 3 American adualts are at risk for kidney disease and about 37 million people who have it.
He outlined some of the common risk factors for kidney disease and shared some healthy tips to follow to prevent getting it.
Hamren also talked about the stages of kidney disease and the levels of treatment for each of the stages.
