
Marquette, MI – November 2, 2023 – The Superior Health Foundation is moving into their next seasonal grant cycle and have begun the search for a new Executive Director.
Executive Director Jim LaJoie shared a Healthier Together Thursday update today wherein he announced his plans for retirement next year.
LaJoie spoke with Mark & Walt in the Morning today.
LaJoie said that the SHF held their latest celebration of grant awards last week where they gave out just over $940,000 total in a variety of grants to health-based non-profit agencies from around the U.P.
He also said that a national search has been launched to find his replacement as Executive Director as he has decided to retire after nearly two decades with the agency.
LaJoie explained that he feels it’s the right time to step down and enjoy more time on leisure and family activities. His retirement will begin this coming spring.
