Marquette, MI – June 21, 2023 – The Marquette 4th of July Celebration Committee is in the final stages of planning for the Queen City’s Independence Day events.
Durley said the key bit of info is that the fireworks will be over Mattson Lower Harbor Park on July 3rd this year, creating the opportunity for a rain date on the 4th, if needed.
He added that with the Exchange Club’s International Food Fest going on at the park Sunday the 2nd through Tuesday the 4th, along with the Marquette parade happening on July 4th, there will be plenty to enjoy around the planned fireworks on the 3rd.
Durley also reminded listeners of ongoing fundraisers around Marquette for people to make easy donations to support the fireworks.
The fireworks will be synchronized this year to music that will be broadcast here on Sunny 101.9, WKQS-fm and are planned to be fired off right around 10:40pm eastern time on July 3rd.
