Marquette, MI July 6, 2021 – On this month’s Upper Peninsula Health Plan Update, we hear more about the Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures Campaign.

Chelsea Ely, LPN and Clinical Coordinator with UPHP, spoke about the program with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Ely said the campaign puts the spotlight on preventive care for kids of all ages by encouraging completion of well-care visits and immunizations, and it from July 6th through September 30th.

She added that the well care visits help promote lifelong health for kids by starting healthy habits early and showing them it’s important to take care of their health.

Ely said children and teens need a well-care visit every year, and if your child has not had a well care visit in the last year, call your child or teen’s primary care provider’s office to get scheduled.

UPHP members can call UPHP for assistance or visit UPHP.com.

Ely concluded with information about children and teens who complete a well-care visit during the Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures campaign at participating practices being entered to win prizes at each practice.
