
Marquette, MI – May 20, 2021 – Changes are coming to Michigan’s COVID-19 restrictions.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer says as of June 1st, all capacity limits will be lifted for outdoor events, and all indoor capacity limits will increase to 50%.
As of July 1st, capacity limits at all indoor and outdoor gatherings and all broad mitigation orders will be lifted.
Whitmer spoke about the changes at a press conference earlier today in downstate Midland.
The Department of Health and Human Services will release an updated epidemic order on Monday, but they say people not yet fully vaccinated will still be required to wear a mask while indoors through June.
