Marquette, MI – February 27, 2015 – By now you probably know that Leonard Nimoy, who inspired a generation to “Live long and prosper” passed away today. If you don’t, then–well–consider this a head’s up.
Leonard Nimoy passed away today.
There’s not much else to say that hasn’t already been said, and said better, by writers more talented than I. As a geeky Gen-Xer, I grew up on re-runs of Star Trek so this one hits me hard. When that happens, words are difficult to find.
So I apologize for the lack of poignant commentary here. I got nuthin’ except a suspicious lump in my throat and a mysterious stinging in my eyes. If you’ll excuse me, I have to go look for the onion cutting ninjas–I’m sure they’re hiding somewhere in the office here.
Goodbye Mister Spock, give my regards to Scotty.
