East Lansing, MI – March 22, 2024 – The Negaunee Miners girls basketball team fought hard, but in the state semifinal game on Friday, Detroit Edison was just too much to overcome, with Edison winning 63-46. Negaunee played well throughout the game, and looked like they might be able to run with the Pioneers, but as the game progressed Edison steadily built their lead on the back of two NCAA Division I recruits. The Miners wrap up a memorable season with the loss, and will turn their attention to next year and their quest to return to the Breslin to take care of unfinished business.
