Negaunee, MI – October 19, 2023 – The undefeated Iron Mountaineers traveled east to face off the Negaunee Miners on their home turf senior night! Mark Evens and Gregg Nelson were live in the rainy weather Thursday night on Sunny 101.9.
First quarter the Negaunee Miners started off strong with a 74 yard punt touch down achieved by a Nagaunee offensive player, giving the Miners a 7-0 lead! However, Iron Mountain quickly caught up by halftime, with a score tied up 7-7.
After half time Iron Mountain came out swinging with an explosive and strategic second half of game, despite the rain. It was not looking good for the Miners. The Iron Mountain Mountaineers vigor continued and they ran away with a solid victory score of 42 – 7.
