Marquette, MI – September 11, 2018 – Friday night’s Negaunee Miners Varsity Football game has been cancelled. The Miners were scheduled to host the Manistique Emeralds for a 7pm game at Miners Stadium this Friday, September 14th.
Manistique has forfeited their game against the Negaunee Miners this week due to lack of healthy players, moving the Miners to 2-2 in the season. But don’t worry, Miners football will still be on Sunny.FM this week!
Mark Evans and Gregg Nelson will be covering the Negaunee Miners – Manistique Emeralds Junior Varsity Football game instead! This Thursday, September 13, our JV team will travel to Manistique to take on Emeralds. We will have all of the JV play-by-play action right here on Sunny.FM 101.9. Mark and Gregg will start things off with a 6:15pm Pre-game Show before getting into the live game broadcast starting at 6:30pm. The next scheduled Miners Varsity Football game will be next Friday, September 21st against the Ishpeming Hematites. The game will be played at Ishpeming High School where to two will battle it out on Sunny.FM 101.9 and our sister station, Home of the Ishpeming Hematites, WRUP 98.3!
