02/27/15 Norway, Michigan – The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team traveled to Norway, Michigan tonight to face the Norway Knights. Jesse Anderson was there to bring you all the action LIVE on Sunny.FM.
The first quarter was near half over when the Negaunee Miners put the first points of the game on the board, to lead 2-0 against the Norway Knights. Dre Tuominen sank the Negaunee Miners 4th basket and gave them a 6 point lead, 8-2 with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. The Negaunee Miners continued to lead the Norway Knights at the end of the first quarter 16-4 on Sunny.FM.
The Norway Knights were first to put points on the board in the second quarter with a free throw and trailed 16-5. Rob Loy scored his 2nd 3 point shot at the five minute mark and gave the Miners a 21-5 lead over the Norway Knights. The Negaunee Miners continued to dominate the game and led 29-10 at the end of the first half.
The Norway Knights came into the third quarter scoring first and decreased the Miners lead 29-12. The Negaunee Miners answered back quickly with a basket of their own. The Norway Knights offensive was able to score more in the third quarter and trailed 36-17 with the quarter half over. The Negaunee Miners finished the third quarter with a demanding lead of 45-20 against the Norway Knights on Sunny.FM.
The Negaunee Miners continued to dominate the game throughout the fourth quarter and easily defeated the Norway Knights 56-22.
