For the senior-laden Miners, they were led by Hannah Laurila who finished with 21 assists.  Emilee Lokken also had a good game with two blocks and 10 kills.  Aubrey Nyman (6 kills) & Adena Anderson (16 digs) were big contributors as well.

In her post-match statement, coach Annette Gleason had this to say:

“This was a competitive match the entire game.  Both teams played great defense, but Manistique was more aggressive at the net.  My girls need to start playing disciplined and start finishing those close games.”

The Miners will play next on Thursday (Sept. 25) in Gwinn at 6pm.  Be sure to head on down and show your support, or come back here to Sunny.FM for all of your Miners coverage!
