Norway, Michigan January 21st, 2016 – The undefeated Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team traveled to Norway, Michigan tonight to face the Norway-Vulcan Knights. Brady Guilbault was LIVE with all the action from the U.P. Propane Press Box on Sunny.FM.
Dylan Tasson scored a 3 pointer to open the game and give the Negaunee Miners the early lead against the Norway-Vulcan Knights on Sunny.FM. The first quarter had a slow start, but with 51/2 minutes left the Knight put their first points on the board and trailed 3-2. The first quarter ended with the Negaunee Miners leading the 14-6.
The Negaunee Miners continued to score points to start the second quarter with a quick basket fro Dre Tuominen and push their lead to 16-6. The Norway-Vulcan Knights went on a 5-0 run to chip away the Miners lead to 16-11. The Negaunee Miners maintain the lead throughout the second quarter and ended the half 26-17 against the Norway-Vulcan Knights.
The Norway-Vulcan Knights started the third quarter scoring a couple baskets and gained on the Negaunee Miners lead. The Negaunee Miners answered the Knights back and maintained a 30-21 lead two minutes into the second half. The Negaunee Miners continued a good paced game and ended the third quarter in the lead 39-25 against the Norway-Vulcan Knights on Sunny.FM.
Trent Bell scored the first points of the fourth quarter to widen the Miners lead 41-25. Both teams were on a scoring drought for the next 2 1/2 minutes of the game, until the Miners scored a basket and one shot to lead 44-25. The Negaunee Miner wrapped this game up with a win 46-33 over the Norway-Vulcan Knights and remain undefeated.
