Grant was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma bone cancer in May 2010. He courageously battled the disease until his death in September 2012, shortly after his 15th birthday. During Grant’s battle with cancer, he and his family found that the simplest things meant so much, like a nice lunch before entering the hospital for 5 day chemotherapy treatments or going to the zoo before surgery. These simple little things may seem insignificant, but without help from others a small $12 meal isn’t so easy to do.
Thanks to you, The Grant Henriksen Memorial Fund may help make life a little easier for families in the Upper Peninsula who have a child battling cancer, whether to pay travel expenses or have that $12 meal at their son or daughter’s favorite restaurant.
