Mackinaw City, MI – July 9th, ’13 – Shepler’s Ferry, the Mackinac-area premier cruise and ferry service, is helping fight childhood cancer by raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The non-profit foundation started in 2000, when 4-year-old cancer patient Alex Scott (1994-2004) announced she would raise money for childhood cancer by selling lemonade in her front yard. Since then, Alex’s Lemonade Stand has grown into a national organization, carrying on her legacy of hope.

Shepler’s Ferry had a lot of fun selling lemonade to generous community-members, collecting donations in St. Ignace on the 6th and 7th. They will be doing the same in Mackinaw City on July 20th and 21st.
Last year, they raised over $2500 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and they are hoping to beat that goal this year.
