Marquette, MI – May 20, 2020 – The community brought some cheer to Norlite Nursing Center today as family, friends, and other locals participated in a car parade around the facility. Starting around 1pm, vehicles pulled onto Wilson Street in Marquette, then onto Ward and Homestead before doing a loop around the entire Norlite facility.
Residents watched the vehicles go by from their room windows, waving to the procession. Each window was marked so friends and family could spot their loves as they drove by! Parade participants were encouraged to decorate their vehicles and dress up to show support for the residents who have been isolated for over two months.
