Marquette, Michigan – Pete LaRue, Chocolay Lions Chairman of the Easter Egg Hunt, called into the 8th Day Radio Show from the road just as he was about to arrive to help organize the Lions 17th Annual Silver Creek Easter Egg Hunt March 31st at 11 a.m. Discussion included how important the event is for the kids. The Lions Motto is “We Serve,” and with hundreds of children and adults attending, despite the snowy weather, they’ve live up to that motto.
About 5,000 colored eggs were hidden at the Chocolay Silver Creek Church property, including 11 “Golden” eggs that delivered bikes, treats, and other prizes to the kids that found them. There were refreshments, a decorated room for pre-school aged kids, and an opportunity to have pictures with the Easter Bunny.
