Marquette, MI – October 27, 2026 – Some major changes are potentially in the works at the Westwood Mall property in Marquette Township.
McCarthy explained that there is an ownership change for the property that is pending that would result in a combination of demolition of significant portions of the interior sections of the mall building, followed by a multi-million investment to build a retail store space in it’s place.
He added that there are other redevelopment plans for the surrounding parcel of land around the building and, in the best case scenario, demolition will begin before the end of the year.
