Great Lakes Cleanup Campaign Comes To Marquette!

Marquette, MI – June 16, 2026 – A cleanup campaign across all five Great Lakes wraps up with a stop in Marquette today. The group, Great Lakes Great Responsibility is holding a cleanup of the shore at Founder’s Landing from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

GLGR Founder and Executive Director, Meag Schwartz and Director at Large Athena Stanley talked bout the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

They explained that the group has held coordinated cleanups along all Great Lakes through the month of June. They explained that the goal is to foster better environmental stewardship and a better understanding of the Great Lakes ecosystem.
