Marquette, MI – May 21, 2026 – The Superior Wildlife Rehab and Education Center in Marquette is holding a special book release event later this month in Marquette to benefit the center’s efforts.
Clarke said the event will launch a new children’s book called “Oscar’s Second Chance” and will be at the Bodega on 3rd Street on Saturday, May 30th.
The book, which Clarke authored, tells the story of a juvenile opossum, named Oscar, who was rehabilitated at the Center after being discovered seriously injured in Escanaba, adding that future sales of the book will benefit the Center and it’s mission.
Clarke explained that the Superior Wildlife Rehab and Education Center is a licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility specializing in orphaned or injured fawns and mammals. They are a nonprofit organization and solely depends on the donations and support of our community.
She said the Center is the benefactor of the book release and signing event at the Bodega, which will run from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and is open to the public.
