Marquette, MI – May 11, 2026 – The Marquette City Commission has a pair of meetings later today.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs previewed both session with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Kovacs said the first is a special work session at 4:00 o’clock to discuss the future use of the property where the Jacobetti Home For Veterans is currently located in the city. That parcel is opening as the Home will be moving into a newly-built facility in Marquette Township.
Kovacs added that the work session will be followed regular meeting at 6:00. The Commission will be hearing an update from the Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership and filling a vacancy on the Marquette Board of Light and Power created by a recent resignation.
Both meetings will be held at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
