
Marquette, MI – April 27, 2026 – UP Health System has published their annual Community Benefit Report for the 2025 calendar year. It outlines the ways the health system has supported both the health and economy of the U.P. through their locations in Marquette, Ishpeming and Hancock.
Darner said the report shows the health system invested just over $10 million in capital improvements in 2025 to enhance patient care and facility infrastructure.
She added that UPHS had a payroll last year of more than $250 million with 2,655 employees across their three facilities and satellite clinics.
Darner also discussed the report showing the hospital also donated over $50 million in health services to those in need around Upper Michigan.
