Marquette, MI – March 23, 2026 – The City of the Negaunee is hosting two public tours of the Negaunee Ice Arena this week to showcase proposed facility update plans.
City Manager Nate Heffron spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Heffron said the tours will reveal design plans, which are needed to keep the facility operational to facilitate updates and repairs. On May 5th, Negaunee voters will decide the fate of a $1.25 million bond proposal to cover those repairs.
Heffron added that attendees will learn what is needed and be able to ask questions concerning the project. The tours will both be on this Wednesday, March 25th. The first is at 3:00pm with the second at 7:00pm.
