Marquette, MI – November 22, 2024 – The Northern Michigan University Department of Theatre & Dance is presenting some holiday treats to get you into the Christmas spirit!
Bill Digneit, Department Head, spoke about the events this week with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Digneit said the first production is called “Home for the Holidays” and will be December 5-7 and 12-14 at the Forest Roberts Theatre. It features students sharing stories and songs as they prepare to head home for the holidays.
He added that the family-friendly show will have an added bonus of Santa Claus will be visiting the FRT lobby one hour before each performance.
Digneit also shared information about the Holiday Soirée, an evening to celebrate the holiday season with the NMU Theatre and Dance department.
It’s December 11th from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at the Panowski Black Box Theatre and will support Theatre and Dance Student Scholarships.
Digneit said it features a Holiday buffet to kick off the evening and holiday performances presented by NMU theatre and dance students. Plus, there will be a special visit from Santa Claus himself!
