Marquette, MI – October 18, 2022 – State Senator Ed McBroom checked in this week with a brief legislative update.
The Dickinson County Republican shared the update with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
McBroom started off with a recap of his recent visit to the scene of the massive fire at Resolute Forest Products in Menominee and how the Governor’s declaration of a State of Emergency related to the fire will assist in freeing up funds with the recovery.
He then talked about the current legislative session in Lansing and how not much is going on this month as many lawmakers, including himself, are out on the campaign trail.
McBroom wrapped up with his thoughts on what he expects to happen in the so-called “lame duck” session after the November election and the end of the year.
