
Marquette, MI – May 4, 2022 – Voters in two Marquette County school districts approved a pair of sinking fund millage requests yesterday.
In the Marquette Area Public School district, voters passed a 10 year renewal of an existing .934 mill rate by a vote of 2,669 yes to 556 no. In the NICE Community School District, voters approved a 10 year renewal of a 1.75 mill rate by a vote of 697 yes to 237 no.
Also in Marquette County elections, in a Michigamme Township Supervisor recall vote, challenger Rhonda Boshears defeated incumbent Willam Seppanen by a 90 to 83 vote.
