Escanaba Apartment Destroyed in Fire

Marquette apartment building destroyed in fire

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation into the cause of an apartment complex fire late Friday night in Escanaba in continuing today.

The fire was reported at 823 2nd Avenue South just before 11 p.m.  Firefighters arriving on the scene found the two story apartment complex completely engulfed in flames.

The fire was eventually contained and extinguished without the fire spreading to neighboring homes.  Fire fighters remained on the scene for more than four hours with no injuries reported.

All residents of the apartments were able to get out safely before the fire destroyed the building.  The Red Cross is assisting those who were left homeless by the blaze.

  1. this is collyn im now 21 i was 9 my apartment was the one that caught fire my two dogs died and i saved everyone banged on everyones doors frantically and ran to the bar two blocks away mom was taking a break smoking when i said i need my mom my house is on fire she stands up i didnt even know it was her it was dark she totally left the bar unattended as we ran back my bedroom window busted open and she takes out her phone i got a letter from obama with a stamped signature so cool right not even by hand he never saw it himself *laughs* the news came to hannahville school and i never been able to find any footage on this and instead of the header apartment destroyed in fire witch is false they never updated the electrical and just turned it into a deck lookit up on google maps i went up there i can tell you exactly where it started my house layout everything you should’ve named the header 9 year old hero saves everyone in apartment fire
