Marquette, MI – June 23, 2021 – A camp for kids with diabetes is going to be held later this summer at Clear Lake Education Center in Manistique.
Alderton explained that the idea of camp is to bring kids that have Type I Diabetes from all over the UP together.
Michael Parks, RN and Diabetes Educator talked about how the camp gives kids a chance to bond with other diabetic children to show them they are not alone in their diabetes.
Krysti Ostermeyer, RN and Diabetes Educator added Type I diabetics ages 8-16 can attend, and this year the camp is happening July 26th through the 31st.
